Road Ready Driving School
We at Road Ready believe that it is of the utmost importance that you use your time as a Learner to become the best possible driver. Being in control of a motor vehicle can be a dangerous activity if the person in control of the vehicle has not been properly trained. All of our Instructors at Road Ready have been professionally trained to assess the individual needs of each Student during the first lesson in order that they can establish a lesson plan tailored to that persons individual needs.
We also understand that parents and friends are eager to impart their driving knowledge to Learner Drivers in an honest effort to prepare them for the road ahead. Most of what they teach a Learner is useful, but be aware that new techniques and different skills may now be required before a Learner can advance to the next stage of Provisional Licence holder. For example, did you know that changing down gears before stopping at a red traffic light or a stop sign may no longer an acceptable method of vehicle control ? Are you familiar with the proper method of “Pull-Push Steering” ? These are only a couple of examples of the new techniques which are not only applied today but are now skills which may be compulsory before a Learner Driver can advance to the next stage of Provisional Driver Licence in the ACT, SA, VIC & NT.
Of course, not all Learner Drivers have the same learning capabilities. Some may pick up driving techniques quicker than others. Some may be nervous. Others may find it uncomfortable being with a total stranger. Our Instructors have been specially trained to impart their knowledge to the Student in a friendly professional manner, so that the Student will feel at ease immediately. Service these days is lacking in a lot of professions but at Road Ready we guarantee that if the Student is not satisfied with outcome of the first lesson, our Instructor will not charge the Student for the lesson. It is our promise to you that, by the time that our Students reach the Provisional Driver stage, you can be sure that your son/daughter has received the best possible tuition available.
All of our vehicles are covered by Comprehensive Insurance, which means that if something unforeseen happens during a lesson, the student is not liable for any costs.
At the end of each lesson a CBT&A (Competency Based Training and Assessment) assessment record is completed and signed by both Learner and Instructor. This record details competencies achieved during the lesson, competencies taught, where the lesson took place (eg student drove from Belconnen to Woden and back via Parkway, then stopped at Evatt for front-on parking practice), the time and date of the lesson and the Instructors comments (eg student needs more work on cornering and braking point next lesson).
Our Instructors are available day or night to answer any questions or concerns, for example, the reasons for the new driving techniques. It’s part of our service and part of the reason why we at Road Ready aim to take Driving Tuition to the next level in our Nations Capital
